The Cardiovascular Research Day is a forum that provides a system for displaying novel scientific data that is predominantly linked to understanding human physiology and disease. Southeast Lipid Research Conference  - The University of Kentucky is excited to host the 2016 Southeast Lipid Research Conference on November 3-5 in Lexington, KY. This event will be a great opportunity for cross-participation between physicians, clinicians, and basic scientists with interests in lipids, lipoproteins, and cardiovascular disease. Everyone registered for the 2016 SELRC will automatically be registered for the Cardiovascular Research Day events. SELRC sessions will be held on Thursday, November 3 and Saturday, November 5 . Invited speakers & faculty of the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging will address the latest in Alzheimer's disease, present research findings, & answer questions for the audience regarding aging & dementia. 2016 Infectious Diseases Research Day  - The second annual Infectious Diseases Research Day features speakers from six departments across four Colleges of the University of Kentucky campus. Invited speakers are Barbara Murray, MD the J Ralph Meadows Professor, Division Director of Infectious Diseases, and Director of the Study of Emerging and Re-Emerging Pathogens at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center of Houston and John F. Prescott, VetMB, PhD Professor of Pathobiology at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph. Posters, lunch, and a 3 minute talks from students and post-docs are included in the day. The goal of this event is to encourage interactions among investigators interested in the infectious diseases of plants, animals, and humans across the UK campus.
